The O.G. (original generation) Funk-Dance Master Music Series is not only the greatest selection of funk tracks of all time, but also plays a key role in American Pop History. This is the music that inspired the creation of the American Urban Dance forms called Locking, Popping, Up-Rocking and B'Boying. These dances encompass all that is known as Hip Hop dance today. The series is also the official music to the International Underground Dance Masters Tournament and Urban Dance World Record Competition. These are events that have taken place bi- annually and have become television specials that have aired in since 1999 on 152 networks nationally. We have created something that is both the definitive study on this subject and the highest quality recording available on CD and cassette. Over 65% of these tracks have never been made available on CD until now. All of this music has been digitally re mastered and is presented in their original long form. VRL Muzic is offering quality front-line product at a mid-line price. Our intention is to make the product more accessible to you the record buyer. VRL Muzic in association with Universal Music is releasing these 8 historical volumes from the OG Funk - Underground Dance Master Series over the next four months: O.G. Funk - Locking Volume 1 &2, Popping Volume 1 & 2, Up-Rocking Volume 1 & 2 and B'Boying Volume 1 & 2. This music is from the world acclaimed feature documentary "Underground Dance Masters: History of a Forgotten Era," which is now available on VHS.

Since 1991 the brothers Thomas and Paul Guzman-Sanchez, have worked diligently to create the O.G. Funk - Underground Dance Masters Music Series, which contains the best of the O.G.(Original Generation) Funk. The albums liner notes contain a first-time look at the history of Urban Dance from 1965-1992. This collection tells the story from the perspective of the dancers who created the forms which are the origin of what is known as "Hip Hop" dance today. The Reseda, California - born brothers are also the directors and choreographers of the "First American Dance School of Locking and Popping" and are the creators of the Seven Levels Of Locking and the Seven Levels of Popping the Chain Reaction System. Thousands of dancers around the world have adopted this system and have become committed students affecting a whole new generation of dancers. The mission of these two O.G. Dance Masters is to pass on this American art form at the highest level to future generations so it can evolve even higher.

This project has already been featured on Fox network news, Big boy's show on POWER 106 and the Walt Love "Countdown" show that is heard on over 270 urban stations nationally. Magazines from Vibe to the French magazine "Radikal" have written about all of this new found product that is filled with answers that millions want to know about.

Originally conceived as a Book, these projects began as a definitive study on this part of American Pop Urban history. Thomas Guzman-Sanchez grew tired of the myths, lies and misconceptions about a part of life that he was fortunate enough to witness, and felt it was time for the real truth to be told. He quickly realized that to document the history of Locking and Popping, he had to interview on film those pioneers of Urban Dance while they were still alive. The film documentary "Underground Dance Master History Of a Forgotten Era" is made up of archival footage, which establishes an unshakable time line. The only new footage is interviews with the O.G. Dance Masters, telling what life was like and why things were created. All of this is reflected in the liner notes of each different CD volume of the series. The music compiled in this series will bring back the feelings and thea excitement that inspired the original dance masters.

complete series teaches the student of Locking everything they would ever
need to know to perform the original CHAIN REACTION system of LOCKING
at the highest level possible. Each tape is designed to take you through
techniques you would have only leaned if you were an OG Dancer. Building
a solid foundation none of the tapes cover the same thing. Each one
progresses to the next level and expects the student to know everything
in the prior tape level. This is not your typical bboy convention compilation.
It is the most intensive study on this dance ever produced. Please do not
think you can by pass the early volumes because unless you were in
Chain Reaction you do not have these master techniques yet. Learn the true
perfection of the dance and the way to battle and not be ignorant.
