His mission was to bring out the best in each student-athlete and to create an environment of family and togetherness, evidenced by Alemany hosting its first meet in its renovated stadium. Wellington not only maximized the efforts of the Warriors' entire roster, but generated a sense of purpose and motivation for Alemany to perform at a level never reached before in program history. Relying on a sweep of both relays -- with eight athletes contributing (4x1: A.Byers, A,Island, A.Watts, S.Gilliam and 4x4: C.Rogers, S.Harbin, B.Guzman-Sanchez, S.Buckley) -- Skylin Harbin doubling in the hurdles finals, Nia Britt repeating as shot put champion and crucial depth, Alemany captured its first Div. III team crown, holding off runner-up Mater Dei, along with Mission League rivals Harvard-Westlake and Notre Dame.

FIRST TEAM
Nia Britt, Alemany, Soph.

The top 10th-grader in the shot put in the country, Britt produced a season-best 49 feet, 1/4 inch at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays. She went on to repeat as Mission League and Southern Section Div. III champion, before placing second in the Masters meet and third at the state championship for the second year in a row.

Skylin Harbin, Alemany, Jr.

The catalyst behind the Warriors' run to their first Div. III championship, Harbin swept the 100- and 300-meter hurdles titles, along with contributing to Alemany's 4 x 400 victory. Harbin, who placed in the top five in both hurdles races at the Masters, clocked a personal-best 42.92 in the 300, then lowered her mark in the 100 hurdles to 14.10 at the state prelims, before finishing ninth in the final.
